Very good song here,i liked the piano at the beggining, the chopping on it it´s very good, it´s better when that subtle pad comes in on the 32th bar of the song, it somehow remembered me of another song. (but in this case i don´t remember the artist and the name song.)

On the first drop, the breaks are good and very dynamic, but the break feels very mono, and doesn´t have any variation or programming, leaving that space very empty and dull, i would recommend some subtle breaks layering and panning on the main break, along with some programming on all of it.

On 00:44 the vocal chops are very good, but i could have expected better and faster vocal chops, but as it is is normal, also, i could´ve added a type of ping-pong delay on the vocal mix, with some subtle reverb, like an 25% wet, because the vocal chops feels very dry.

On 01:05, the same 64 intro bars repeat, but it´s just with the vocal chops, i would have expected another progression on the beat, or a crazier piano chop, but it didn´t anyways it´s normal.

On the end, i expected a much better ending, it felt very unexpected and harsh, you could´ve added like some reverb on the master channel, and then put an automation on the channel rack at the last bars of the songs, or maybe just a simple fade out.

The mixing is normal, the low end is very hearable, very good mixing on the reese on this one, i didn´t like so much the compression on the amen break, also, the equalization on it feels very weird, the high end on the amen break feels a bit saturated on my opinion, i would recommend fixing that.

About the mastering i don´t have very much to say.

So, in my opinion, i would say this is a very good atmospheric Jungle piece (please, don´t mislabel this as breakcore, it isn´t), with a dark vibes, and i think, a similar sound to like sewerslvt.

SCORES:
Variation: 3.5/5
Drum programming: 2/5
Mixing and Mastering: 4.25/5

Final score: 4/5

Very original Jungle piece, with a good atmosphere and dark vibes, with some fixing on the variation, and a bit on the mixing, it´s perfect.

I absolutely wish you good luck for your future projects!

Thank you for your insights! Appreciate it.

Also tbh I know my songs are jungle but the masses call this breakcore so I'll stick with it for now lol

Very nice.

Very cool atmospheric dnb song, the chopping on that voice is very good, reminds me about that TOKYOPILL´s song. (I don´t remember what song was, but i´ve heard it before)

The amen break is very nice (cw_amen_upskool 🤓) but the break and chopping itself feels very basic and empty, i would recommend a better programming on the breaks (more chopping/effects) and some panned breaks. (it could be any amen break, or another break of your taste.)

On the intro from 00:00 to 00:10, you could´ve added a high-pass filter on that "hey, it´s me!" voice, with some reverb and delay on the last phrase, because on my taste, the vocal feels very dry.

On 00:33 you missed a progression, in that part, you could´ve made a new melody, that could´ve made the listener more engaged to the track, but, you repeated the same 64 bars from the beggining drop, making the track dull.

Also, on 00:33, you missed the oportunity to make an arp melody on the 2nd drop, that could´ve been incredible, since an arp is very nice to hear, but you missed it.

Talking about mixing and mastering, it´s very normal and standard for this type of tracks, i can´t talk very much since i´m hearing from a device with a limited low end speaker (PC without headphones.)
The mixing on the amen breaks on my taste feels a bit too compressed, overlaying almost all the melody, i´d recommend lowering a bit the threshold of the break, talking about the mixing on the melody, it´s good, a very dynamic mix, and the mastering is standard.

So i would say this song has a good potential, not very common to see it here on NG, but with some fixing, and you´re there!

Very good song, the energy on the beat is very good, very compressed and loud but it doesn´t clip with the other sounds, the drop is amazing, it has a lot of energy and the sidechain is very good, i like 01:42, but it could´ve been better if the amen break was more chopped like Breakcore, the build up to the second drop is good, but the second drop doesn´t hit as much as the first drop, the melodies are very good, the out of tune pitch gives the melodies a vibe i cannot describe lol, the layers don´t collide with each other, result of a good mixing, the instuments are very well EQ´ed and balanced, and the mastering is good.
